Principal Investigator
Dr. Meng-Chang Lin received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from National Chung Hsing University (Taiwan) in 2010. Then, as a senior researcher, he worked at Industrial Technology Research Institute (Taiwan) from September 2010 to December 2015. From June 2013 to August 2014, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Chemistry Department of Stanford University (USA). Later, he joined the Shandong University of Science and Technology (P.R. China) as a Professor from January 2016 to April 2022. Then, as an Associate Professor, he worked at Taipei Medical University (Taiwan) from May 2022 to August 2022. In September 2022, he joined National Chung Hsing University as an Associate Professor. His research is concentrated on aluminum-ion batteries, dual-ion batteries, and hydrogen production/purification. Also, he has been involved in the commercialization of aluminum-ion batteries. An Ultrafast Rechargeable Aluminum-ion Battery that he developed in 2015 was awarded the 2016 R&D 100 Award and the 2017 Edison Award.
